not as delicate as it seems...

I have added some beads and a button as a closure.
I have to just look at it for a few days. I'm not sure I like this bright button. I need to find a small natural colored one. I'd like the beads to be the only bold color.

They look really delicate, don't they? I was surprised at how strong they really are. To do the stitching I had to poke holes with an awl first. Every time I add something I think I'm going to break it or dent it in, but even with my clumsy hands it holds up.

In case you missed the first post, the content reads
" We all contain beautiful and delicate art."

Oh yes, I think you are on to something here, Katie. I like it very much. Agree about the button - the other suit it very nicely. Can't wait to see it finished. Very exciting. I've never seen anyone working with these before. xxDonna

I can also see a more natural colored button working well. Then the beads will not have any competition. ;) Love it!

Hi, Katie. Your mini-book is so delicate and elegant. And your mom's angel is smashing! Of course she should be blogging! It's one of those things where you can learn as you go. Tell her I said so--and I'll come visit her blog as soon as she gets it going!
best, nadia

I'm surprised how robust these little cases are (and they survive even your clumsy hands?! Ha ha ha!).

Really pretty and VERY unusual, never seen anything like it. Submission to Somerset Studio/Cloth Paper Scissors?
