Yeah! Love that hair. Lyle has finally convinced me to try stamp carving, have some safety cut blocks waiting, nothing happening yet? Needs to percolate. xox Corrine
Do yu know the book "Life is a Verb" by Patti Digh ? That is the title of one of the sections in this awesome book. (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1599212951/37days-20)
Thanks everyone. Marilyn, I did use an exacto a little for some tiny letter areas, but mainly used a sculpty tool I had. This was was first go (aside from one I did in highschool)...I may get hooked on this. I'm sure there are other tools to use too. xo
That's a cleverly carved stamp there & I love your flower sketch below. You inspire me to get on with drawing 'properly' all the flowers I've been stitching so manically....before they all dissapear into the autumn!
Fabulous stamp katie, you did a really great job with it. I will have to find my hand carved stamps - I've not seen them since we moved to Florida! (I think they are in a box in the garage) Or better yet, I might carve a new one. I appreciate the inspiration and your visit to my blog & comments. I thank Donna for "introducing" us! ; ) lenna

Very inspiring :) I am going to dig up my carving stuff and go for it!
Just stopping by your blog for the first time.
I HEART stamps!
So glad to have wondered over. I can't wait to see more.
Katie what a great idea to make your own stamp, she looks wonderful, well done.

Love this! How did you do it? I also like your embroidery - hope the camping trip was fun:)
Brilliant, you've inspired me to hand carve some of my own stamps - something I've never had a go at.
