Treasures We Keep

Here's my second art quilt for the show. In this one I used all sorts of things I have collected over the years- silk hankies, vintage doilies, an old key, bits of my felting, art yarn, fabric from the stash, and there is even German glass glitter throughout the silk. We all have so many little treasures we keep...I hate to leave them in drawers, they should be displayed and enjoyed.

It's gorgeous, Katie - and you're right, it's so sad when these 'treasures' are left languishing in drawers, it's so much better to use them creatively, so they can be enjoyed.

I was just thinking the same thing, Katie, how I could embellish my felted vessels with my kept treasures! Will now move forward with that thought and your validation! This art quilt is a treasure. Did you say how big it is?

Never mind, looking at you last post tells me it's probably 12x12. Love it!
