Opening the Erosion Bundle

A nice, sunny day to see what the rolled and tied fabric will reveal....

Here is what a long, rainy winter gave me:

I really love how this postcard aged (even more) and the feather is practically glued on there. I have been wanting to try encaustic- this may be the nudge I needed. I think it would work great for that.

Another peice to dip in wax, I think!

Even more felted

And some more lovely rust stains, worn fabrics and things.
I have some ideas whirling around about what I might do with the Erosion Bundle. I will see you all in Summer with the creations.

This is very fascinating to see how the things have evolved, or changed. Now you can play with all those lovely things, and I am looking forward to seeing what you make of them! Hugs, Valerie. Happy Easter!

What lovely treasures you found in your bundle. I must explore mine, it's been out there over a year!

Wonderfuly bits & pieces from your mother & a great way to keep them tidy.

Thanks for your visit & Happy Easter!

Oh Katie! Very successful I would say. No wonder your mind is whirring. I have some experience with encaustics --- the post card and feather would be a perfect experiment for that medium. You must be very pleased with Mother Nature. hugs from Mexico, Donna

I have heard of erosion bundles before - but seeing one makes me want to try one! Can't wait to see what you create with all that aged stuff:) I also love your Ball Jar of old wooden spools, hope you have a sunny day. It's very rainy here in Ohio today.

This makes me want to do one of the timecapsules like my class did in elementary.

I like how you tucked different things in there to see what would happen. All of it has turned out so intriguing, can't wait to see what you do as the bundle has offered up so many wonderful things to play with. Love how the feather and postcard turned out, very neat!

Wow, this is an awesome erosion bundle result! I have taken mine down from it's perch and need to start unwrapping, but I thought I'd wait until my husband is home. I want an audience! Looking forward to how you use all of these things in art. I'm hoping I can make an Erosion Bundle Spirit Doll with mine. ;)
