Doodling with paints and threads

In between work and whatnot here is a bit of what I've been doing...

Playing around with Carla Sonheim's Drawing Lab book. These watercolor doodles are a lot of fun!

Practicing my embroidery stitches and got a crewel book this weekend. Like I need another book!

I am going to make this Postcrossing embroidery into a postcard to send somewhere in the world.

Hi, thanks for stopping by my blog. I just quickly looked at your last few posts. I think we are twins! I draw (badly but I do it) i like to hand sew, and weave a bit. I had a tapestry loom built last winter...it's being used as a clothes rack. I was weaving on a board and got tired of my knuckles getting scraped. A friend asked me to weave a leather wall hanging. I said yes and had the loom built. Have no idea what to do with it all. My fiend was a leather smith for 20 years. so the leather is free and she has lots of tool for me use. I even have some ideas on design. Just can't seem to start the project. Think about it often, just don't start it. we have a 2 hour school delay again this morning. better go, kids to school and me to work. Time just gets sucked up when I get on the computer.

Oh your doodles are wonderfully intuitive. Keep it up. Lovely stitching, what will the top piece be? You cannot have too many books, just ask me? It was really bad when I worked in a bookstore, but we did get alot of pub copies free, so..... xox Corrine

Love, love, love the Postcrossing embroidery! I am such a huge fan of Postcrossing. I'm Zmrzlina there and spent much of today trying to get ID 1,000,000 ... I missed by 16 cards!

Thank you for commenting on my Heavenly Hops postcard at MailArt365 and there is a relatively new microbrewery called East End Brewery. I haven't tried them yet, but I will soon :-)

(above is repost because I screwed up the HTML on the first)
