New project!

I am really excited and motivated these days! I made a zine on how to make my silk cocoon books/ art journals! It's a fun hand drawn zine I finished recently. I'm also putting together DIY kits to make your own.
Besides re-opening my Etsy shop, I'm selling them in Indianapolis at General Public Collective in the Fountain Square neighborhood. They are also the great folks who helped me print off a hundred of them. Now, I'm slowly but surely hand binding them with different colored twine.

Yesterday, I came home to find an envelope from the Brooklyn Art Library Print Exchange.

 This year, I participated in The Print Exchange through the Brooklyn Art folks who do The Sketchbook Project. Above is the print I used. This month, I'll get 10 prints from artists around the world! I'm excited to see what comes.

What else do I have to share?....let's see....I did "Masterpiece in a Day" in Indianapolis again this year. I just doodled some girls and made a zine about buns!

 Louie has stolen the cats Halloween tie. I don't think the cat minds.

 New painting and some new cards. These are ones I had made for my Kickstarter. That didn't work out... Which may be for the best because then I became obsessed with linocut print making, and zines!

My Computer, my enemy

Ok, so I had the laptop fixed. I thought I'd be happily uploading pictures by now. Something is wrong.
I do have lots to share. Been painting, doing linocut prints, and working on a zine I hope to finish this fall. Some day, I'll be able to share it. I HOPE!


In a couple weeks, I'm off to my first Zine fest in Pittsburgh, PA! I'm grabbing a childhood friend in Ohio, and taking her along for the fun.

Kick starting my creativity

Hello!
I've been busy getting my creative groove back on. I decided to try a Kickstarter campaign and see if I can send my art out into the world. It's been a good way to start making every day again. Another bundle of joy...

I couldn't resist a second dog. This is Louie! He is about 7 years old. Isn't he cute!

It's been a long time

Since my last post I've done all kinds of things, but dang if I can get the pictures uploaded!

Meet Mango!

Here's the new little monster who lives in our house!
We rescued him in November and it has been so much fun.
Even the cat likes him. They're both love bugs and one will lay across my legs and the other my chest.
